Getting to Ifrane

Ifrane is a mountain town in the Middle Atlas region, known for its cool climate and cedar forests. Here are the main ways to reach the camp.

From Fez Airport (Fes-Saiss) 60 km · ~1h drive

Fes-Saiss International Airport (FEZ) is the closest airport to Ifrane. The drive takes approximately one hour via the N8 highway through scenic Middle Atlas terrain. Taxis and private transfers are available at the airport.

From Casablanca ~4.5h drive

You can drive directly from Casablanca via the A2 motorway to Fez, then take the N8 to Ifrane (approximately 4.5 hours total). Alternatively, take the ONCF train from Casablanca-Voyageurs to Fez (approximately 3.5 hours), then arrange a transfer to Ifrane from Fez station.

Camp-Organised Shuttle from Fez Airport Included

Nawrass provides a complimentary shuttle service from Fez-Saiss Airport directly to the Ifrane camp site. Shuttles depart at scheduled times on arrival day. Details and departure times are communicated to parents two weeks before the camp start date.

Self-Arrival Directions

If you are driving independently, the camp site address and GPS coordinates will be provided in your confirmation email. From Ifrane town centre, the camp is approximately 10 minutes by car. Clear signage is posted along the approach road. On-site parking is available for drop-off and pick-up.

Getting to Briech

Briech is a coastal village on the Atlantic shore near Asilah, offering a beachside camp experience with warm weather and ocean activities.

From Tangier Airport (Ibn Battouta) ~90 km

Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport (TNG) is the nearest international airport. The drive to Briech takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes via the N1 highway southbound along the Atlantic coast. Taxis and car hire services are available at the terminal.

From Casablanca ~3h drive

The drive from Casablanca to Briech takes approximately 3 hours via the A1 motorway towards Tangier, exiting near Asilah. The route is well-maintained and fully tolled. Alternatively, the ONCF train to Tangier (approximately 2 hours on the Al Boraq high-speed line) followed by a local transfer can be arranged.

Camp-Organised Shuttle from Tangier Airport Included

A complimentary Nawrass shuttle operates from Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport to the Briech camp site on arrival day. Exact pick-up times and meeting points are communicated to parents in the pre-departure information pack, sent two weeks before camp begins.

Please respect the designated arrival and departure windows to ensure a smooth transition for all campers and staff.

Check-In (Arrival Day)

Registration, room assignment, welcome briefing, and medical form verification take place during check-in. Parents or guardians are welcome to accompany campers on site during this window.

Check-Out (Departure Day)

Saturday
10:00

Rooms must be vacated by 10:00. Farewell activities are held during the morning. Return shuttles to the airport depart promptly after check-out. Parents collecting campers in person should arrive by 09:30.

Packing List

Pack light and practical. All bedding and towels are provided at the camp. Label every item with the camper's full name.

  • Sturdy walking shoes or trainers
  • Sandals or flip-flops for camp grounds
  • Swimsuit and swim towel
  • Sun hat and sunglasses
  • Sunscreen (SPF 50+)
  • Insect repellent
  • Personal hygiene kit (toothbrush, soap, shampoo)
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Light rain jacket or windbreaker
  • Small backpack for day activities
  • Any prescribed medication (in original packaging)

  • Warm fleece (Ifrane evenings can be cool)

  • Smartphones, tablets, or laptops (digital detox policy)
  • Portable gaming consoles
  • Expensive jewellery or watches
  • Large sums of money
  • Aerosol sprays
  • Knives or sharp objects
  • Fireworks, lighters, or matches
  • Food items containing common allergens (nuts, etc.)

Required Documents

The following documents must be presented at check-in. Incomplete documentation may delay or prevent registration.

Valid Passport or National ID

A valid passport or government-issued national identity card for the camper. The document must be valid for the entire duration of the camp stay. A photocopy should be retained by the parent or guardian.

Parental Authorisation Form

A signed parental authorisation form granting permission for the child to participate in all camp activities, including excursions and emergency medical treatment. This form is provided during the booking process and must be signed by both parents or the legal guardian.

Medical Certificate & Health Form

A medical certificate dated within the last 12 months confirming the child is fit to participate in physical and sporting activities. The health form must list all allergies, chronic conditions, dietary requirements, and current medications.

Travel & Activity Insurance Proof

Proof of valid travel and civil liability insurance covering the child for the duration of the camp, including sports and outdoor activities. The insurance certificate or card must be presented at check-in. European Health Insurance Cards (EHIC) are also accepted as supplementary coverage.
