Golf Camp

Morocco Ages 10–18 Lodges Full Board EN / FR / AR
Spring Summer Autumn

Nestled in the cedar forests of Morocco’s Middle Atlas at 1,650 metres altitude, the Nawrass Golf Camp offers young players aged 7 to 18 a structured pathway from first swing to confident on-course play. The programme is based at the camp’s 18-hole Royal Golf course — one of the country’s most scenic layouts, winding through ancient cedar woodland with panoramic mountain views. Whether your child has never held a club or already carries a handicap, our PGA-trained coaches design every session around individual progress.

Safety and etiquette go hand-in-hand at the Golf Camp. All coaching takes place under the supervision of qualified golf professionals who maintain a strict 1:6 coach-to-player ratio. Beginners start on the driving range and practice putting greens before progressing to supervised par-3 holes; intermediate and advanced players work on course management, shot selection, and competitive play. Sun protection, hydration, and heat management are built into every outdoor session, with mountain temperatures in Ifrane averaging 18–26°C across the spring-to-autumn season.

For corporate partners, the Golf Camp delivers a premium employee-benefit that combines technical sport development with the discipline, patience, and strategic thinking that golf uniquely cultivates. Participants leave with measurable skill improvement, an introductory golf certificate, and the kind of memorable experience that families talk about long after the camp ends. The programme runs across spring, summer, and autumn sessions, making it one of the most flexible scheduling options in the Nawrass portfolio.

Ifrane sits at 1,650 metres in the Middle Atlas, surrounded by ancient cedar forests and known as “Morocco’s Switzerland” for its clean air, European-style architecture, and temperate climate. The coastal course is an 18-hole championship course that winds through cedar woodland, offering wide fairways ideal for developing young golfers and challenging enough for experienced players.

Spring and autumn temperatures average 15–22°C, while summer peaks around 26°C — a welcome contrast to the heat of lowland Morocco and perfect for extended outdoor activity. The course’s elevation creates unique playing conditions that teach participants to factor altitude, wind, and slope into their shot selection.

Beyond golf, Agadir and Tanger offer beaches, traditional souks, and cultural excursions to round out each day. Evening activities include sunset walks on the seafront and guided visits to the medinas of both cities.

Campers stay in a secured coastal residence a short walk from the course, housing four participants of similar ages per room. Rooms have individual beds, storage cupboards, air conditioning, and en-suite bathrooms. The residence features a pool, shaded terrace, and relaxation area between sessions — a true golf-immersion environment.

A common room with golf magazines, strategy games, and a video analysis station provides space for evening review sessions and socialising. Separate laundry facilities ensure clothing is ready each morning. The lodge perimeter is secured and monitored by night staff from dusk until dawn.

The first three days focus on fundamentals: grip, stance, posture, and basic swing mechanics on the driving range. Beginners learn with foam balls and graduated clubs before transitioning to standard equipment. Parallel to full-swing work, short-game sessions cover chipping, pitching, bunker play, and putting — where most strokes are saved.

Mid-week, players progress to supervised on-course play, starting with par-3 holes and building toward full 9-hole rounds. Coaches introduce course management, pre-shot routines, and mental-game techniques. Video analysis sessions allow each player to visualise their swing and track improvement over the twelve days.

The programme culminates in a friendly tournament on the penultimate day, with individual and team formats designed to test skills in a low-pressure competitive environment. Certificates, improvement reports, and awards are presented at a closing ceremony on the final evening.

Golfers need sustained energy across long practice sessions. Breakfasts include eggs, fresh bread, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, and juices. Lunches feature Atlas mountain tagine, grilled meats, couscous, salads, and seasonal vegetables. Dinners offer hearty soups, pasta dishes, grilled fish, and homemade desserts. On-course snacks of dried fruits, nuts, energy bars, and water are provided during playing sessions.

Vegetarian, vegan, and allergen-specific diets are accommodated with advance notice. Hydration stations are positioned at the clubhouse, driving range, and on-course shelters. The kitchen team holds current hygiene certifications and follows strict food-safety protocols.

The coaching team comprises PGA-certified golf professionals with junior coaching experience. On the course, the coach-to-player ratio is 1:6; on the driving range and practice areas, one coach supervises up to eight players. Each coach carries a first-aid kit, communication radio, and hydration supplies during on-course sessions.

A camp nurse is on-site throughout the programme. The nearest medical facility is 10 minutes away by road. All staff hold current first-aid and safeguarding certifications. The head coach conducts daily briefings on weather conditions, UV index, and session objectives before each morning and afternoon block.

Ifrane is approximately 60 kilometres from Fes-Saïss Airport (about one hour by road via the N8). Nawrass provides group transfers from Fes airport on the designated arrival day, included in the camp fee for groups of ten or more. Individual airport pickups can be arranged through our logistics partner.

From Rabat-Salé Airport, the drive takes approximately three hours via the A2 motorway. From Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, allow four hours. Registered families receive a comprehensive travel pack two weeks before camp, including GPS coordinates, meeting-point photos, emergency numbers, and access to a parent WhatsApp group.

The Nawrass insurance package (price upon request) covers the full camp duration including all golf activities. Coverage includes civil liability, personal accident, emergency repatriation, and equipment protection. Families who prefer their own travel insurance may opt out, provided they supply proof of equivalent coverage at least ten days before camp.

My son went from barely holding a club to playing a full nine holes with confidence. The coaches were patient, highly skilled, and genuinely passionate about junior development. The mountain setting was spectacular.
